This place has a lot of atmosphere. The high wooden, vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows…. The original features are so beautiful. Food is excellent. Plenty of options for everyone. However they ran out of hollandaise sauce on the Benny and one of our dishes took a bit longer to arrive after everyone else was served. Staff were lovely and polite. Would definitely go back

Set in a beautiful, renovated church, this cafe has a wonderful atmosphere. Comfortable green padded booth seating, large tables with living plants scattered throughout and lots of outdoor seating under umbrellas or on benches to stop for a coffee with your doggy friend. Service was friendly and efficient, we liked the stained glass window above the open kitchen and my Stranger Benny was delicious. My friends did find their rolls were a bit overly crunchy, but overall the food was good.

This place has everything you could possibly want: decent food, complimentary sparkling water, nice atmosphere and clean toilets. We shared the Philly Cheesesteak baguette and Halloumi &Sweetpotato Fritters, both excellent; will be back.

Update: 5 ⭐ Recently visited again, and had the most fabulous service considering it’s public holiday. We also had the salmon bagel which was delicious! 3 ⭐ Visited this cafe recently. I ordered a cappucino ($5) and the halloumi & sweet potato fritters ($26) with added chorizo ($6). The coffee was good but the food left me confused. The fritter was advertised as having halloumi but you can’t taste/find the halloumi in the dish. I asked the staff about it and was told it’s within the fritters. It was a good thing I ordered the extra chorizo as the dish pretty much tasted like a dessert rather than a savoury one (heaps of sweet components). The ambience of the place is lovely but service could also be more attentive.

The dishes here offer both excellent quality and generous portions, making it great value for money without being expensive. The staff are warm and enthusiastic, and the cozy atmosphere adds to the overall experience. I would definitely recommend this place. However, do note that parking can be a bit tricky to find at times if you’re driving.

We were on holidays in Melbourne and visited this place on July 9, 2025 . The tasty croissants, very friendly staff and beautiful settings in an incredible experience. We went back the second day to experience other foods on their menu on our way to the airport . Will definitely visit this place again on our next trip .
